Thus, more employees are working at night. Mainly, it is women who often find themselves forced to work in shifts. They have to face imposed part-time work, which has almost become the norm.
Shift work means that workdays can start very early and end very late. Moreover, there are long breaks in the middle, which employees cannot really enjoy. This is due to the distance from their home and the resulting travel time. These constraints cause many difficulties in organizing daily life, particularly concerning the care of infants or young children.

Today, the few nurseries in large cities offer assistance to professions with shift work. However, they are only open between 5:30 AM and 10:00 PM. Thus, it is impossible for employees working at night to benefit from them.
Thus, apart from relying on the kind help of family or finding the impossible in a night nanny, there is no alternative.
The only solution, if a host has a spare room, is to offer a service exchange rental. This way, they can go to work without worrying about being late to the nursery or the nanny charging extra hours. Moreover, this will allow the child to maintain their biological rhythm. Offering a service exchange accommodation to a supportive housemate will bring you peace of mind and relief!
