Housing in exchange of guardian, gardening and handyman works/pool maintenance

Looking for a caretaker or a couple of caretakers to look after an 18th century bastide, a true haven of peace, offering an art of living in harmony with nature. Located in Dauphin, near a medieval Luberon village, this beautiful stone property of approximately 350m2 is spread over 6.8 hectares of garden and forest offering an exceptional quality of life. Calm, greenery, serenity and large spaces preserved from all noise and environmental pollution, located about 15 minutes by car from Forcalquier. We offer you free accommodation in the caretaker's house (electricity, water, heating included) and to do paid work (3, 4 or 5 days per week to be defined together) of gardening, maintenance of new vines as well as the maintenance of the swimming pool and sometimes the main house. First, you will be accommodated in the caretaker's house (approximately 50m2 including living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom) adjoining the main house. In the next 24 months, a possibility of an independent house project located on the property (in which you would be relocated) is being considered. Ideally we are looking for someone experienced in gardening or motivated to learn and if possible who knows how to grow young vines. A good knowledge of maintenance work (swimming pool in particular and house). We are looking for an English and French speaking person (conversation level). Available from October but we are flexible.
